Adventure Activities

If adventure is what you are looking for then strap on your harness and get ready for a truly memorable experience. Check out the list below to learn more about our many adventure offerings.

Caving

Feel like a true explorer in an undeveloped "wild" cave. We use caves that are safe for beginners and groups, providing an authentic and beautiful introduction to the life and landscape of the subterranean world. Main corridors are tall enough to walk through, with smaller passages branching off for those who want to experience crawling and wiggling through tight spaces.

Rock Climbing

Participants will spend a full day top-rope climbing and rappeling at one of the beautiful natural rock cliffs in the North Carolina Mountains. From the hike up, to the exposure, to the actual climbing, we promise an exhilarating day to remember. Supportive and experienced guides provide excellent instruction and ensure safety.

Team GPS/Orienteering Courses

Do you know where you are? How about where you are going? If so, do you know how to get there? Orienteering, the art of navigating by use of map and compass, is a critical skill for outdoor adventurous types. Do you want to learn how to hit the open trail and wind through rugged terrain? We explore the history, learn to use the tools of the trade, and then head off on a navigational adventure.

Challenge Hike

This is not your ordinary stroll through the woods. The mountainous terrain and thick under story of Rhododendrons and Mountain Laurel make for a physically challenging and exciting hike. There are many routes to choose from, ranging from awesome mountain vistas to the deep cool forest.

Whitewater Rafting

The high country of western North Carolina is one of the most biologically and geographically diverse regions in North America. Carved by some of the world's oldest rivers, the Blue Ridge Mountains provide a home for a variety of exciting outdoor activities such as North Carolina hiking, caving, mountain biking, kayaking and whitewater rafting.

Low Ropes Activities

The focus is on communications, trust levels, problem solving skills and group development.

Indoor Rock Climbing

Your team members will pair up, one person "on belay" supporting and observing the climber, providing the type and amount of help the climber needs - the other in a harness scaling the wall.
